I’ve always considered myself an every-day guy. I was your friendly neighborhood butcher, soccer coach, former Air Force, and Army reservist. Like you, I work for a living and engage in my community. My life changed in 2006 when I became a licensed insurance agent. It quickly became clear that working-class families and business owners are so underinsured that they are one crisis away from losing everything they have worked so hard to earn. Financial advisors and insurance agents like to pursue clients with high a net-worth, which leaves working and middle-class individuals underserved and undereducated on how easy, affordable, and important it is to protect their assets and to build wealth.
The truth is that you don’t need to make six figures or run a multi-million dollar company to build wealth. I was very fortunate to work in the insurance industry early in my career and to learn about saving, investing, and protecting my income.
